Community guidelines

These rules apply to profiles, photos, public posts and conversations. Be accurate about yourself, respect other people’s choices and use the service lawfully.

Last reviewed

Adults only

You must be at least 18 and meet any higher minimum age required to use this service where you live. Do not create an account for a child, portray a child as an adult or use wording or images that solicit contact with children. Age entered on a profile is self-reported; it is not a verified age certificate.

Respect people and their boundaries

No threats, stalking, harassment, hateful abuse or persistent unwanted contact. Do not pressure anyone into a conversation, meeting, payment or sexual act. Do not use another account to get around someone’s refusal or an account restriction.

Represent yourself honestly

Use photos and text you have the right to share. Do not impersonate another person, steal a profile, present an artificial identity as a real person or make misleading claims about your age or location. Do not claim CityXDate has verified or endorsed you.

Choose the city and category that accurately describe your post. Avoid repeated posts, unrelated promotions, deceptive links, keyword stuffing and fabricated testimonials.

Content we do not allow

  • Child sexual abuse material, grooming, sexualisation of children or any attempt to exploit a person under 18.
  • Trafficking, coercion, sexual exploitation, threats of violence or arrangements for illegal activity.
  • Intimate images shared without consent, sexual deepfakes of another person, voyeuristic content or blackmail.
  • Scams, phishing, malware, stolen accounts, fraudulent offers or requests for another person’s passwords or security codes.
  • Someone else’s private contact details, identity documents, financial information or home address without permission.
  • Content that infringes another person’s intellectual property or privacy rights.

Reporting and restrictions

A signed-in member can report a published post. Administrators can review post reports, hide posts and restrict accounts. Account restrictions can also prevent posting and messaging. A report does not guarantee removal, and a published post does not mean it has been individually checked.

Explain the concern with specific details. Do not misuse reports to harass someone or try to remove a post simply because you disagree with them. Contact options for a disputed restriction are listed on the Contact page; an automated appeal feature is not currently available.
