Report abuse or request content removal

Use a report to explain a specific concern about a published post. A clear page link and a short factual description are more useful than repeated reports.

Report a published post

You cannot report your own post; manage or remove it from My posts instead. Reporting is available for published member posts and requires an active signed-in account.

  • Sign in, then open the post you want to report.
  • Select “Report post” and explain what is wrong in 10–2,000 characters.
  • Submit once and read the confirmation or error message. A failed submission is not a received report.
  • If you already reported that post, you may see a duplicate-report message. Repeated submissions do not speed up review.

What to include

Describe the concern, where it appears and why you believe it breaks the rules. For impersonation, privacy or ownership concerns, identify the affected text or image and explain your connection to it. Include a post link or ID when using a separate contact channel.

Do not send passwords, payment credentials, unnecessary identity documents or intimate images. For suspected child sexual abuse material, report the page address without downloading or forwarding the material.

What happens to a post report

The report is associated with your account and the reported post for administrator review. It is not an anonymous reporting service. Administrators can review the reason, dismiss the report or take action on the post. A report alone does not establish that a violation occurred.

There is no guaranteed review time, outcome or automatic status-notification service. Do not use a report as a substitute for emergency help.

Other concerns, including messages and account restrictions

A dedicated message-report or user-block control is not currently available. Stop responding to unwanted contact, retain the relevant usernames, dates and message details where safe, and check the Contact page for an available channel.

For a restriction you believe is mistaken, describe the affected account or post and the reason you disagree. Do not create another account to bypass the restriction.

Child exploitation and intimate image abuse

You can report suspected online child sexual exploitation directly to NCMEC’s CyberTipline. Take It Down provides guidance for intimate images taken before age 18; StopNCII provides guidance for eligible adult intimate images. Their tools operate on participating platforms and do not replace a report about a CityXDate post.
