Privacy and account requests

Changes you can make in your account

• Edit your display name, biography, age and area in My profile.
• Remove or replace your profile photo in My profile. A separate post photo is managed with its post.
• Manage or remove your own posts in My posts.
• Sign out from your account when using a shared device. Signing out does not remove your account or posts.

Request access, correction, closure or erasure

There is currently no self-service data export or account deletion tool. In a request, state the account email, what you want changed or provided, and any relevant post link. An account closure request and a request to erase personal information should be described separately if you want both.

A direct privacy-request email has not yet been published, so this page cannot submit a request. Check Contact for current availability. Do not assume that editing a profile or signing out submits an erasure request.

Explain the information involved

For content about you on someone else’s public post, include the exact page link and identify the text or image at issue. You do not need to repeat sensitive information in a public comment or create a new public post about the problem. Signed-in members can also use Report post.

Identity or authority may need to be checked before private account information can be released or changed. Do not request access to another person’s account without proper authority.

Understand the limits of removal

Account restriction is not complete data erasure. Some records may remain for legal, security or operational reasons, and the service has not yet published a complete retention schedule. An erasure request therefore should not be treated as an immediate or automatic deletion promise.

Search engines and other people may retain copies of previously public material. A request to CityXDate cannot guarantee removal of every external copy. Rights, exceptions and response deadlines depend on the applicable law.
