This page explains the information used by the current CityXDate service, what other people can see and the controls available to you.

Current contact availability is shown on the Contact page. Do not send personal documents to an address that is not listed there.
Information you provide
- Account: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored as a hash rather than readable text.
- Profile: display name, age, biography, area and a profile photo. The service also supports location coordinates when provided; do not include an exact home location in public text.
- Posts: titles, descriptions, city, category, selected attributes and uploaded post photos.
- Conversations: the participants, message text and message timestamps.
- Reports: the reporting account, reported post, reason and review status.
Session and activity information
The service uses session identifiers, IP addresses, browser information and activity times to maintain sign-in and protect account actions. Server and infrastructure providers may also process connection and request logs. Moderation records include account or post changes and administrator actions.
Cookies support the session and request protection. Temporary browser storage also remembers a post’s return path.
Why the service uses this information
Account information supports registration, sign-in and account administration. Profile and post information supports discovery and publication. Conversation information allows participants to exchange and read messages. Reports and activity records support abuse review, access restrictions and service operation.
Avoid adding sensitive information that is not needed for your post or profile. A dating description or conversation may reveal very personal details even when the form does not ask for them.
What becomes public
Published posts are public. Their text, category, area, photos and displayed author name may be visible without signing in and may appear in search engines. Your profile photo can also appear beside a published post.
Member discovery requires sign-in, but that does not make an uploaded image confidential. Images used on posts or profiles can have directly accessible URLs, and people can save or share what they see. Do not upload anything that requires private storage.
Email addresses and password hashes are not displayed as part of a normal public post. If you put an email address or phone number into the post yourself, it becomes part of that public content.
Messages and reports
The conversation interface limits message access to authorised participants. Messages are stored by the service and are not end-to-end encrypted. Do not treat a conversation as a secure place for identity documents, financial credentials or passwords.
Reports are linked to the reporter’s account and can be reviewed by administrators. Reporting is not anonymous. Service administrators and infrastructure providers may have access to information needed to operate, maintain or moderate the service.
External services
The production site uses hosting and storage infrastructure and Cloudflare for traffic delivery and protection. The browser also requests typeface files from Google Fonts. Visiting those providers exposes connection information such as an IP address.
A complete provider and international-transfer description has not yet been published. External links, including independent safety resources, have their own privacy practices.
Retention and removal
Account, profile, post, message and moderation information is kept in the service’s records. A complete retention schedule has not yet been published, so do not assume that inactivity or signing out deletes your information.
You can edit your profile, remove your profile photo and manage your own posts using the account controls. Removing a public post does not necessarily remove related records, backups or copies held by another person or a search engine. Restricting or closing an account is not the same as erasing all its data.
Your privacy requests
Depending on the laws that apply, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your information, receive a copy, object to particular uses or complain to a privacy authority. Available rights and exceptions depend on your circumstances.
There is currently no self-service account deletion or data export tool. See the request instructions and current contact availability.
People under 18
CityXDate is for adults aged 18 and over. Do not create an account or publish a profile for a child. Use the reporting instructions if you believe a post involves a child or exploitation.
