Find practical instructions for the features currently available on CityXDate.
Last reviewedCreate an account and complete your profile
Register with your first name, email address and a password of at least eight characters. Then complete your profile with your display name, age, area, photo and a short introduction. You must be 18 or older to use CityXDate.
Use an email address you control and a unique password. A profile needs the required details before you can use features that require a complete profile.
When sign-in does not work
Check your email address and password. If you see a message about too many attempts, wait before trying again. Allow the site’s session cookies and reload if your session has expired.
There is currently no self-service password reset or account recovery form. Check the Contact page for available support. Never give another member your password or a sign-in code.
Add or remove a profile photo
Open My profile to upload or remove your photo. Use JPG, PNG or WebP, no larger than 5 MB or 6000 × 6000 pixels. Use an image you have permission to publish.
Removing your profile photo can leave your profile incomplete. A separate image uploaded to a post must be managed with that post.
Create, edit or remove your posts
Open My posts while signed in to create a post or manage your own posts. Use an accurate city, category and description. Published posts are public; do not include information you need to keep private.
Removing a post stops it being displayed as a current public post on CityXDate. Copies saved by other people and search-engine results may remain outside our control.
Start and continue a chat
Use the chat or message action on an available post or profile and sign in if asked. Your account, profile and the other member must meet the service’s access rules before a conversation can open. You cannot message yourself.
Open Chat to continue an existing conversation. A missing or unavailable conversation is not a promise that the other person will reply. User blocking and a dedicated message-report button are not currently available; stop replying to unwanted contact and see the reporting guidance.
Understand account closure and data requests
Editing a profile, deleting a post, signing out and closing an account are different actions. Signing out does not delete your account or its content. There is no self-service account deletion or data export button at present.
